Is showerhead easy to block? That's because you didn't bathe it

We take a shower every day, but many people don't want to "wash" it. After using the shower for a period of time, it will not only block the water, but also hide a lot of bacteria. Therefore, it is necessary to clean the shower regularly.

Researchers at the University of Colorado have sampled 45 showers in five states. The results show that there are tens of thousands of bacteria hidden in almost every shower, of which 30% are Mycobacterium avium, which can cause lung disease. It likes to grow in warm, dark and humid environment, and the shower just meets the requirements. The researchers point out that Mycobacterium avium is very common in urban water supply system. Generally, drinking water will be heated at high temperature, which can kill these pathogenic bacteria, but the amount of it in the shower is 100 times that of tap water. Through the water column ejected during bathing, it is easy to be inhaled into the body, causing infection. Healthy people with normal immune system don't need to worry about it, but if they are exposed to this pathogen for a long time, the elderly, children, pregnant women with poor resistance, and people with tuberculosis or immune system diseases may cause serious consequences.

It is recommended to remove the shower every two months and put it in the basin, water the surface and interior with edible white vinegar and soak for 4-6 hours, and then gently wipe the water outlet with cotton cloth. There is no need to worry about the white vinegar will corrode the spray. The spray with good quality usually has multi-layer acid and alkali resistant coating. After re installing the connector, water it for a while to let the white vinegar and scale flow out with the water. If the outlet hole is blocked, it can be unblocked with a toothpick. The water outlet of the shower is mostly silica gel granules, which are soft and elastic in texture. You can also touch the granules with your hands to make the stains loose and flow out with the water flow. Now, there are many sprinklers with self-cleaning function on the market. The principle is to have a built-in thimble. When the water is opened, the thimble floats up and the water outlet flows out; when the water is closed, the thimble loses its buoyancy and falls down automatically. The thimble is inserted into the water outlet and the scale is pushed out to achieve the cleaning effect.

When using the shower, pay attention that the surrounding environment should not exceed 70 ℃, otherwise it will greatly accelerate the aging of the shower and shorten its service life. Therefore, the shower should not be installed directly below Yuba, and the distance should be kept more than 60 cm. In areas with hard water quality, try to choose a shower with glue particle outlet or equipped with self-cleaning device to facilitate cleaning. In addition, the metal hose of the shower should be kept in a natural stretch state, and should not be coiled on the tap when not in use.
