Causes of water seepage in toilet
1. Rubber concrete cracks.
2. After the waterproof layer is completed, the latter process destroys the waterproof layer (facing brick).
3. Bad waterproof material is used (no good product is cheap).
4. The waterproof layer is not made as required or the thickness of waterproof layer is not enough (> 1.2mm).
5. Failed to do node processing as required (bad node processing).
6. The original waterproof layer is damaged by the decoration slotted and buried pipe, which causes water leakage.
7. When making waterproof, the base surface does not meet the requirements, with sand, loose and other phenomena.
8. The shrinkage of water pipe is different from that of cement.
Waterproof skill of toilet decoration
1. Be sure to make the wall waterproof. Before laying the wall tiles, make the wall waterproof. In general, 30 cm high water-proof treatment should be done for the wall in the water-proof treatment, but for the light weight wall that is not load-bearing, the whole wall should be waterproof, at least 60 cm high.
2. The joint between the wall and the ground, and the joint between the upper and lower water pipes and the ground are the most likely places to have problems. We must urge the workers to handle these corners, and the waterproof coating must be applied in place.
3. If the original floor tiles of the toilet need to be replaced, the original floor tiles must be leveled with cement mortar first after chiseling, and then waterproof treatment shall be carried out, so as to avoid the leakage caused by uneven thickness of the waterproof coating. Be sure to clean up the ground before waterproofing.
4. Try not to damage the original waterproof layer. Generally, the floor of the newly delivered building is provided with a waterproof layer. Therefore, without damaging the original waterproof layer, there will be no leakage.
5. The decoration team is required to provide cement mulch for the upper and lower water pipes of the toilet, brush 10-20cm waterproof coating from the ground up, and then redo the ester waterproof coating on the ground, plus the original waterproof layer to form a composite waterproof layer to enhance the waterproof performance.
6. The water pipe groove in the wall shall also be waterproof. During the construction process, when the pipeline and floor drain pass through the floor slab, the waterproof layer around the hole must be constructed carefully. Buried water pipes in the wall shall be arranged reasonably. Grooves larger than the pipe diameter shall be made for laying water pipes. The plastering in the grooves shall be smooth, and then the grooves shall be painted with waterproof paint.
7. The 24-hour "water storage test" is used to check and accept the waterproofing. After the waterproofing works are completed, the door and the water outlet are sealed, and the water level in the toilet floor is filled up to a certain level, and marks are made. If there is no obvious drop in the level within 24 hours, especially if there is no leakage on the roof of the downstairs house, the waterproofing is qualified.
